All action WeekThis was a big week for our Club on an off the field.  We had a good win over Ballyhea in a feisty SAHC as Anthony Spillane scoring four goals in the first half of a great team display. Cionnaith Cotter bate that score with five goals in the first half of our Under 14 game versus Lisgoold as Ned Condon starred too and the lads in the team done well to record a facile win. Defeat for Castlelyons junior hurlers in the first round of the championship.East Cork Junior B Hurling Championship.Castlelyons 0-17 St Catherines 1-16.This game was played in Páirc na Bríde on Saturday evening before a good crowd. Victory for Castlelyons in CO-OP Superstores Senior 'A' Hurling Championship.Castlelyons 0-24 Bishopstown 0-17.We headed for Blarney on Saturday evening to play Bishopstown in the first round of the SHC ‘A’ down a few players from last season. Leo Sexton a loyal servant of many years had retired, Colm Spillane and Oscar Hallihan were both out through injury and Keith O’Leary was doubtful. Senior Hurlers in action in first round of Championship on Saturday evening in Blarney. We play Bishopstown in Blarney this Saturday 2nd August at 7.30pm in the first round of the championship.  We had a quiet league campaign losing five games and winning four.  This was mainly due to injuries and players not available.  However, there was an opportunity for some younger players to get games and they done well especially towards the end as we held our position in division three.  Saturday evening opponents Bishopstown were playing in a division lower than...
